The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Malawi has called on journalists in the country to remain vigilant in the fight against Covid-19.
The statement which was signed by MISA chairperson Teresa Ndanga was released following the increased number of journalists who have tested positive for the virus.
It has highlighted the need for journalists to protect themselves at all times and ensure they minimize face to face interviews.
Journalists have also been asked to observe social distance in instances where they are conducting face to face interviews and ensure that they only attend press conferences where Covid-19 preventive measures are followed.
The statement further advised media houses to have in house Covid-19 preventive policies or measures which should be enforced.
