Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted, clinical research at the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust (MLW).
Speaking to YONECO FM online, head of operations at MLW, Tamara Makawa said, they suspended some of their research due to the pandemic.
“Part of our research has stopped as such we have not been able to go out and do research.”
She however said, currently some of the nurses and clinicians at the institution are now assisting in the fight against the pandemic a development she described as crucial.
“The good news is that we some of our nurses have joined the Covid-19 fight and we have channeled different resources to assist in the process.”
Before the pandemic hit Malawi, MLW was among other researches conducting a Malaria drone study in Kasungu district.
