President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has described the orientation of cabinet ministers and their deputies as crucial in preparing them for their immense task ahead.
Chakwera made the remarks at the opening of a two day workshop which has been organized to equip the ministers with knowledge on government systems, processes and procedures.
He said among others, the workshop has been organized in readiness for the first full cabinet meeting which is expected to be held in a few days.
He also said, though these are the early days of his administration there has been a discovery of more rubble which needs to be cleared out of the system before implementing a new system all together.
Furthermore, the training will equip the cabinet members with skills necessary for the execution of the Hi-5 agenda where among other things servant leadership, uniting Malawians and ending corruption are highlighted.
The two day workshop will be chaired by the vice president Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima.
