A homegrown innovations company, Digimax Malawi, has expressed optimism that its newly developed Hospital Management Software will ease paperwork load in hospitals.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the company, Christian Jiah, has told YFM online that the system is currently supporting Information management, appointment and scheduling cash/billing center among others.
The software has been developed at crucial time when the country is still observing COVID-19 pandemic health guidelines aimed at minimizing physical contact among the people.
Jiah said: “The innovation will also assist in keeping records for patients thereby making it easy to track their medical history.”
According to Jiah the company is currently in the final stages of implementing the system at one of the hospitals in the country and significant developments have been registered.
He also mentioned the need for public hospitals to adopt digital systems since most of them are overwhelmed with patients.
“Technology is saving the business intelligence, the welfare of employees can be improved by simply introducing innovations in different industries,” he added.
