The Southern Region Chess League (SRCL) will go for polls on Saturday, October 24, 2020 to elect new executive committee.

SRCL disclosed this through a press statement released on Tuesday.

SRCL Publicity Secretary, Wadza Otomani, has confirmed the development to the media.

According to the statement, venue and time for elections will be announced in due course.

Reads part of the statement: “Aspiring candidates will contest for the following positions during the elections; Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, General Secretary, Publicity Secretary, Regional Schools Coordinator and four Committee members.”

SRCL has therefore advised aspiring candidates to register their interest to contest in the elections.
