Ntopwa Football Club has suspended four of its players for defying the club’s code of conduct in line with covid-19 preventive measures.
According to a statement signed by its media officer Richard Tiyesi, captain Happy Kasamba and his vice Mphatso Magaleta, Jowado Kanjuzi and Mark Lameck failed to abide to covid-19 sports guidelines.
Tiyesi went on to say that the players were seen participating in in games that were not authorized by the club in Bangwe, Blantyre.
“The three defenders and a midfielder were during the weekend seen participating in games not sanctioned by the club,” reads the statement.
He therefore said the four will be suspended for two months with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, Ntopwa FC has urged its players to continue adhering to covid-19 sports guidelines.
