The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has approved all candidates that submitted nomination papers but papers to contest in the 30 March but papers for one candidate who is a minor were rejected.
This is according to MEC’s director of media and public relations, Sangwani Mwafulirwa, who stated that all papers that were received on Monday, March 8 and were scrutinised and one candidate was found lacking.
