The Ministry of health (MOH) has dedicated the week beginning Monday, March 22 and ending March 26, 2021 for the administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine to journalists.

A statement issued by MISA and signed by its chairperson Teresa Ndanga advised journalists to carry their Media Council of Malawi (MCM) press cards or employment identity cards when going to immunization centers.

The statement further appreciates the work journalists are doing in the coverage of immunization saying it will improve the understanding of issues surrounding the Covid-19 vaccine among Malawians.

According to the ministry of health’s daily update for Covid-19 for 17 March 2021, about 5417 people have received the AstraZeneca vaccine since it rolled out.
