The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) will on Monday morning commenced a pre-inspection exercise for polling materials which were dispatched on March 28, 2021.

Speaking to YONECO FM online, MEC’s director of media and public relations, Sangwani Mwafulirwa said the exercise will be followed by training of polling staff to ensure they handle the by elections with utmost credibility.

“The purpose is to verify if the materials are right and in right quantity for that particular polling station and for this exercise all electoral stakeholders have been invited,” he said.

Mwafulirwa thus stated that the commission is ready to administer the March 30 by elections.

“We are encouraging all registered voters to go and cast their vote on Tuesday,” he said.
