Police have revealed that armed robbers who broke into First Capital Bank Limbe branch in the wee hours of Monday morning went away with about K10 million.
On the day of the incident, the robbers broke into the bank by cutting the roof top.
Limbe police spokesperson, Patrick Mussa, said currently further investigations into the matter are still in progress and the robbers are still at large.
Mussa said: “When they entered the bank, the robbers tried to break safe boxes but they failed and they managed to stole money close to K10 million.”
He further said the perpetrators did not tamper with any computer in the bank.
Mussa has appealed to the general public to come forth with any information which might lead to the arrest of the robbers.
He further assured the public that security in the area is in place as the police through its criminal investigation unit are on the ground to apprehend the suspects and ensure the existence of sanity.
The robbery at First Capital Bank comes a few days after armed robbers also banged FDH Bank in Lunzu and went away with K30 million.
