The body of veteran journalist, Limbani Moya, has been laid to rest on Friday at Henry Henderson Institute (HHI) Cemetery in Blantyre.
Until his death, Moya was the Broadcasting Monitoring Officer at Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA).
He died on Thursday at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre where he was admitted after coming in the country from India where he went for a second kidney transplant.
Moya, first flew to India in 2014 for a kidney transplant after some well wishers raised about K10 million.
Speaking to YFM, at the burial ceremony, Times Group Chief Editor, George Kasakula, said his death is a huge loss to the media profession.
Kasakula said: “A huge loss to the media profession because he was very skilled and I advise both the practicing and upcoming journalists to borrow a leaf from Moya by always striving to be the best in their profession.”
In his career as a journalist, late Moya has worked for National Publications Limited (NPL), Times Group and Malawi News Agency (MANA).
He was born on August 28 1968 and is survived by a wife and four children.
