The National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCOM) has described as insightful, the first regional meeting it had in conjunction with Small Medium Enterprises Development Institute (SMEDI) for young Chief Executive Officers (CEO’s) in the central region who are spearheading various businesses.
Speaking to YONECO FM online, executive director for NYCOM Dingiswayo Jere said the young CEO’s are enthusiastic and have brilliant ideas on how they can start up and sustain businesses and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
“The discussions centered on how best can we harness the efforts that young entrepreneurs are putting in to make sure we maximize their potential and how they can access support through government tenders.”
“Jere also mentioned that during the meeting, discussions around a national forum where young CEO’s can meet and share thoughts were had.
In the meantime Jere says as government what remains now is to take action on the issues raised.
