Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) says it will still proceed with its protest despite completion of a detailed report by the Public Appointments Committee (PAC) of Parliament in regards to rejection of Martha Chizuma as Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General.
Speaking to YFM- national coordinator for HRDC Luke Tembo said currently preparations are at an advanced stage for tomorrows demos in Lilongwe.
Tembo said it is high time Parliamentarians started making decisions in favor of majority.
“We are going to remind Malawians of what they are expected to do,” he said.
However, Tembo said the body is discussing with relevant authorities to map way forward since there is another group that intends to hold demos on the same day.
Meanwhile, chairperson for Public Appointments Committee (PAC) Joyce Chitsulo has faulted some of the committee members for pushing the blame to others describing it as unprofessional.
