Police in the Central East Region have arrested 50 traders who were found buying farm produce at lower prices and using uncertified weighing scales.
Central East Region police Public Relations Officer Harry Namwaza said the 50 in question were arrested in the districts of Kasungu, Dowa, Salima and Nkhotakota.
Namwaza further reminded traders to ensure that they are using certified weighing scales by the Malawi Bureau of Standard.
