As some young entrepreneurs are successfully accessing the National Economic Empowerment Fund (Neef) loans, the National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Nasme) has advised them to utilize the opportunity wisely.

Nasme Chairperson William Mwale said young people that have accessed the loans should consider this an opportunity to achieve great things with the capital.

“My plea is that the youth should not misuse the money and that they should use it for its intended purpose,” said Mwale.

He also told YFM that he is pleased with the progress he has seen from some young people who have managed to set up their businesses using the funds.

Mwale said: “The news that I have is that some youths have already started using the money, where some are in production and some are in buying and selling so that is good news.”

In light of this he has asked them to ensure that they repay the loans in good time so that others should also benefit as the loans are revolving.
