The Indigenous Business Association of Malawi (IBAM) says there is an improvement in business opportunities that are being given to indigenous business people in the country.
Late last year the nation witnessed the indigenous business community decrying the business plane as being unequal and unfavorable for indigenous businesses to thrive.
However, IBAM President Mike Mlombwa, has said that the situation has started to change with more opportunities being presented to indigenous business persons that can be undertaken by Malawians.
“We have witnessed parastatals receiving documentation that first priority should be indigenous Malawians providing services to the parastatals and the government,” said Mlombwa.
He appealed to the indigenous business community to ensure that they perform to the best of their abilities because this is now their responsibility.
