Two Malawian women, Judith Otcheni and Precious Biliyati, have been arrested by police at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) after being found with drugs as they were trying to board a plane to fly outside the country.

National Police Publicist, James Kadadzera confirmed the arrest of the two saying they were detected by the newly planted machine at the airport.

“We have planted new detecting machine at the airport and no one can beat it. I should Malawians that no one will succeed passing through with drugs through this airport,” he said.

Kadadzera has since asked the general public to report to police anyone they know that is dealing with drugs as a way of serving our youth.
