Ministry of Industry says it is optimistic that the rural industrialization strategy which the ministry is implementing will bring more factories to the rural areas.
Speaking to Yoneco fm online, spokesperson for the ministry Yamikani Kadzakumanja, said the initiative is key to promoting value addition of products for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) and cooperatives in the rural areas.
According to Kadzakumanja the ministry is currently working on the ground to linking SME’s and cooperatives to companies that have technical capacity to support the rural groups.
“The department of cooperatives which is responsible for registration of such groups also conducts trainings to do with management and governance of cooperatives,” she said.
