Member of Parliament for Mzimba East, Wezzie Gondwe, has died.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Catherine Gotani Hara, said Gondwe died Wednesday morning at Garden City Hospital in South Africa.

“Membership of the House is deeply saddened by her death. May her soul rest in peace,” she said.

Hara said the date of Gondwe’s burial will be communicated later.

Gondwe was also a member of the Agriculture and Irrigation Committee of Parliament and Commissions, Statutory Corporations and State Enterprises Committee.
