Police Officers from Balaka district have been trained on how to provide services to the survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV).
Speaking to YFM, Public Relations Officer for Balaka Police Station, Sergeant Precious Makuta said the training was organised as one way of ending GBV.
Makuta said the participants were imparted skills such as how to understand the application of GBV cases and rights that have been violated against someone.
The two days training which started from 30 to 31 August was conducted with the financial support from Women Legal Resource Center (WOLREC).
