The Federation of Disability Organizations in Malawi (Fedoma) has appealed to government to provide adequate information and support towards persons with disabilities during the rainy season.

FEDOMA Executive Director, Symon Munde, said persons with different disabilities in the country face challenges during the rainy season due to inadequate information on weather patterns.

Munde said as authorities are giving out weather information to the public should ensure it reaches people with disabilities too.

He also urged parents with children with disabilities to pay extra attention and care as mostly such kids are involved in avoidable accidents during the rainy season.
