The Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (Admarc) says it has managed to buy 99,000 metric tons of maize.
Admarc spokesperson, Agnes Ndovie, said the corporation halted the exercise two weeks ago because of inadequate funds but since that was sorted, the exercise has resumed.
This season, Admarc intends to buy about 1 million metric tons of the staple grain at the government minimum set price of K150 per kilogram.
