President Lazarus Chakwera says Malawians need to be self-reliant for the country to develop.
He made the remarks in Lilongwe during the inauguration of Jireh Bible House which belongs to Bible Society of Malawi.
Chakwera said the country’s aspirations are captured in Malawi 2063 whose 10-year implementation plan was unveiled on Monday this week.
“What we desire Malawi to be tomorrow is an inclusively wealth and self-reliance nation and I am here today to draw the nation’s attention to this project by this society as a role model of self -reliance,” he said.
Chakwera said the project will have an impact in Malawi not only in matters of spirituality but also for the development of the country.
He therefore urged Malawians to work together in order to contribute on Malawi’s economic recovery.
