People Serving Girls at Risk says it will introduce safe spaces for survivors of sex trafficking, child marriages among other vices in rural areas.
Speaking to YONECO FM online, Executive Director for the organization Caleb Ng’ombo said the safe spaces will assist the survivors to access counselling and attain survival skills.
Ng’ombo also pointed out that, they have also noted a huge gap on issues of trafficking therefore, they will be going to these areas to raise awareness on the vice.
“We will intensify our efforts to reach out to communities especially those that are susceptible to these evils,” he said.
Ng’ombo also spoke about the National Plan of Action against Trafficking in Persons which is coming to an end this year, saying they will push government to develop another one in order to combat human trafficking.
