Renowned political scientist George Thindwa has welcomed the dissolution of cabinet by President Lazarus Chakwera saying some of the ministers were not active.
Chakwera dissolved the cabinet on Monday evening while pledging to appoint another cabinet within two days.
According to Thindwa the decision is a welcome development to Malawians as well as organization such as the Public Affairs Committee (PAC) that have been calling for the new cabinet.
“The dissolving of the cabinet is a welcome development to many in the country however the challenge is to how the president will constitute the new cabinet,” Thindwa said.
He further pleaded with Chakwera to prevent himself from appointing former ministers who failed to fulfill their duties.
