Minister of Homeland Security Jean Sendeza says second phase of construction of house for security agencies will commence soon.
Sendeza, who was updating the National Assembly on progress of the development, said the construction delayed because of procurement hitches.
“The second phase of the construction has really delayed because of the procurement process which as government we go through,” said Sendeza.
She further informed the house that all the processes have been finalised, and anytime soon, the construction will commence.
Meanwhile, the Homeland Security Minister has also disclosed that government is mobilising funds for rehabilitation of Police Units located in different communities.
“There are some Police Units that need rehabilitation and as a Ministry we are looking for funds,” he said.
He admitted that most police units are in bad shape and government is mobilising funds so that they are rehabilitated.
According to the Ministry’s policy, the community is engaged to do the rehabilitation of Police Units in their localities.
