Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club has reconstituted its technical panel by roping in former goalkeeper Vincent Gona as the new goalkeeper trainer replacing Swadick Sanudi who has been assigned to the club’s reserve side.
The development comes as the 2022 Super League season is only three weeks away from commencing.
In an interview with YFM Online, Nyasa Big Bullets chief administration officer, Albert Chigoga, said the change will help to improve goalkeeping capabilities of the team starting from the youth side.
He, however, dispelled the rumour that is going around in the social media that Sanudi has been demoted from his position.
“I can confirm that we have made this decision following consultations with the technical panel. We feel that with Sanudi’s vast coaching experience and qualifications in goalkeeping department, will help shaping our goalkeepers from our reserve side. In fact, Sanudi is happy with the technical decision which the club has made,” he said.
Sanudi is also the Flames goalkeeper trainer and it is yet to be seen whether this move will also affect his position at the national football team.
