Government says it has identified seven Malawians for the evacuation process from Ukraine, amid fears for their safety due to the invasion by Russia.
This comes at a time various countries are working on evacuating their citizens from Ukraine and Russia.
According to a statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released, the seven Malawian nationals who are in touch with the Malawian Embassy in Berlin, are at various stages of leaving the country.
The statement further states that the Ministry has found 30 other Malawians in Russia and that they may need further support if the situation in the country worsens.
Meanwhile all the citizens in the two conflicting countries have been advised to strictly adhere to the guidance from the Malawi Government as provided by through the Embassy of Berlin and to avoid any unnecessary movements.
