Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) has suspended seven students following demonstrations that disrupted examinations over fees balances last month.
The students staged the protests after those with fees balances were not allowed to write examinations a development which led to indefinite closure of the school.
A statement released by the University which has also been confirmed by its spokesperson James Mphande, said 12 other students have been given serious warnings while six have been cleared.
But, student’s union president, James Kawala, who is among those given serious warning, has said the affected students will appeal against the decision.
