High Court Judge Mzondi Mvula has adjourned his ruling to April 7, 2022 on the preliminary objections in a case involving Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba and Leader of Opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa.
Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda applied to the High Court to vacate an injunction by Namalomba stopping the Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara from recognising the new sitting plan in the August House as well as a shadow cabinet by Nankhumwa.
On Thursday, lawyers representing Namalomba made an application to the court expressing interest to cross examine Hara as well as DPP Secretary General, Greizeilder Jeffrey.
Nyirenda shot down the applications including the one by DPP as a party to be part of the case as friends of court saying it is total court abuse.
