About one million people in Malawi are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, a year after government rolled out the vaccine campaign in March 2021.
This is according to statistics released by Public Health Institute of Malawi which show that as of Wednesday, April 20, 1.1 million people have received the first dose whilst 2,784 have received the booster dose.
According to the statistics, it means Malawi has vaccinated 4.5 percent of the targeted 60 percent of the population.
