Members of Parliament (MPs) resumed their deliberations on Monday afternoon for the second week in a month-long meeting.
According to Leader of the House, Richard Chimwendo Banda, government side it set with a number of bills and ministerial statements on a number of issues.
He said: “We still have quite a lot of ministerial statements, we should be able to tackle 12 ministerial statements if time permitting.”
In an interview, Chimwendo Banda has disclosed that apart from government bills, the House will also debate on Private Member’s Bills (PMB).
“We have financial Bills coming then we have PMB that are coming and we have motions again, we also have an opportunity to bring legal bills,” Chimwendo Banda said.
The National Assembly is meeting for the Sixth Meeting in the 49th Session and they will meet for four weeks from July 18 to August 12, 2022.
