The Ministry of Education has disclosed that the 2022/2023 Academic calendar for primary, secondary and teacher training colleges will commence on October 10, 2022 and end on July 23, 2023.

In a statement signed by Secretary for Education James Manyetera, the first term will begin October 10 and will close on December 16, 2022 followed by a two-week holiday.

The statement further indicates that, the second term will begin on January 3 and end on March 31, 2023, this will also be followed by a two weeks holiday.

The ministry also informs the public that the third term will begin on April 17, 2023 and it will close on July 23, 2023 followed by a 7 weeks holiday.

According to the statement, the school calendar has been harmonized for primary, secondary and teacher training colleges for both public and private institutions and therefore no institution should operate outside this calendar.
