People from Phalombe district and surrounding areas have to wait a bit longer to start accessing health services from the long-awaited Phalombe District Hospital.

Recently government announced that the newly constructed facility will be opened in July this year but the hospital is currently non operational.

However, Adrian Chikumbe, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health told YFM online that government will communicate a specific new date for the opening of the hospital once all required pieces of equipment have been installed.

Chikumbe has asked people to be patient saying the exercise will not take long.
