A grouping calling themselves National Repentance Malawi has petitioned President Lazarus Chakwera to declare August as a month of prayers amid the current challenges the country is facing.
Some of the challenges mentioned by the group include depreciation of the kwacha, corruption, nepotism, tribalism, violent demonstrations and gay marriages.
Speaking at a media briefing in Blantyre, National Director for the grouping, Reverend Dr. Edward Mikwamba, said they are also concern with some top government officials who are mentioned in Zunneth Satar’s corrupt practices.
He further revealed that they have already handed over their petition to Chakwera.
