The Minister of Education Agnes NyaLonje has expressed satisfaction with the administration of the Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) examination currently underway.
NyaLonje said this after monitoring the start of the administration of the examination at Kamuzu Palace Community Day Secondary School in Lilongwe.
She said she was impressed with the presence of tight security and adequate papers in all the centers which she attributed to timely preparation.
NyaLonje however condemned demonstrations in some centers where reports indicate that some students were sent back and denied to sit in the examination due to unsettled school fees balances.
159,946 students, of which 79,589 are male and 80,357 females, are sitting in the JCE examination this year.
