Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) has beaten the set revenue target for the month of January by K16 billion, Commissioner General John Biziwick said on Wednesday.
Biziwick told journalists that they collected K161.1 billion in January this year against a Ministry of Finance target of K145.7 billion.
He said K391.81 billion was collected in the third quarter from October to December 2022, missing the target of K396.63 billion.
Despite an improved performance, Biziwick decried the intermittent power supply which continues to affect local production.
