Religious groups and organisations who look after the welfare of people have been urged to adopt and raise abandoned children to ensure they grow up into good citizens.
The sentiments have been made by leader of Home Church International, Brian Thomson, who has jet in the country from Canada to roll out a project aimed at empowering less privileged more especially women and children and also purchase a land to establish the church’s headquarters in Malawi.
Thomson, who has been accompanied by a business expert, is also expected to train women and pastors in business and leadership skills.
He said since it’s inception, his church has rescued over 600 dumped children in different African countries.
Apart from Malawi, the church has also it’s branches in Rwanda, Kenya, Congo, Burundi and Mozambique.
