Communities around Nkaju Village, Traditional Authority Malemia in Zomba have sung praises to Transform Project under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for assisting in their economic empowerment.

The gratitude was expressed during goat pass-on ceremony held on Tuesday at Nkaju Village where beneficiaries who had previously received goats in June last year were passing on goat kids to other community members.

The project is being implemented with an aim to build resilience to harmful impacts of climate change through livestock production goat pass on scheme.

One of the beneficiaries, Margret Kungunde from Nanyonga club said the five goats that she received through the project have helped her in manure production for her farming as well as source milk for her family.
