The National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST) has pledged its continued support towards local innovators en route to realisation of the Malaŵi 2063.
The Commission’s acting director of planning Kondwani Gondwe said NCST is working on favourable policies aiming at accommodating local innovators in various inventions.
Gondwe, who was speaking in Lilongwe during a Parliamentary Committee on Education Science and Technology interface, said stakeholders need to collaboratively work on how best they can develop local innovators especially in the energy sector.
Director General for National Planning Commission (NPC), Thomas Munthali has described energy as key in wealth creation agenda for the country.
Commenting on the matter, the Committee’s Chairperson Brainax Kaise said is time for Malawi to put serious support towards innovative solutions.
