Precious Medical International (PMI), a wholly Malawian owned medical scheme company, launched its services on Thursday with a promise to compliment government’s efforts in attaining Sustainable Development Goal 3 which aspires to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages.
Speaking during the launch in Blantyre, PMI Chief Executive Officer, Getrude Mateyo, said the company, which was established in 2018, aims to reach all Malawians by offering high quality medical insurance services at best value for money.
Mateyo said the company, which has its head office in Blantyre and branches in Lilongwe and Mzuzu, has grown tremendously, from literally zero clients to having over 100 corporate institutions in 2023.
Among others, PMI has nationwide network of hospitals including all major private hospitals and it does referrals to international hospitals including countries like South Africa, Kenya and India.
