Advocates in health sector have warned government against depending much on donor funding in it’s activities of implementing health related programs.
Civil Society Advocacy Forum (CSAF) vice chairperson, Ulanda Mtamba, expressed worry that almost 95 percent of the country’s investments that goes to health sector comes from international donors.
Mtamba said there is need to shift the mindset by starting to invest using domestic finances.
This was disclosed during a media science cafe’ on HIV prevention and research focusing on injectable Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) which Journalists Association Against AIDS brought together journalists from different media house in Blantyre.
