The government has urged Malawian youth living in Korea to contribute towards the country’s socio-economic development.
Minister of Information and Digitization, Moses Kunkuyu made the call during a meeting between Malawians living in Korea and government officials that are currently in the country for the Korea-Africa summit.
Kunkuyu said youth are a very essential tool in the development of any country, hence the need for Malawian youth to be in the forefront in ensuring that developmental ideas are shared accordingly.
He also applauded the team for raising constructive ideas to the vice president on how the country can borrow a leaf from Korea on developmental issues related to trade, education and transportation.
Kunkuyu has since assured the diaspora community in Korea of government’s commitment in developing the country through the Agriculture, Tourism and Mining (ATM) Strategy.
One of the diaspora youth representatives, Gracious Chirambo assured the government that they will always contribute positively so that the country develops.
