The Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services says it has resumed its provision of passports services at its Blantyre offices effective Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
In a statement signed by the department’s National Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent Wellington Chiponde, all individuals seeking the provision of a passport are asked to use the department’s headquarters offices in the commercial city.
Chiponde has since appreciated the citizenry for the patience shown when the services were temporarily suspended.
“The department profoundly appreciates the patience and understanding of passport applicants during the entire period when the passport services were temporarily suspended in Blantyre,” said Chiponde.
He has further reiterated the department’s commitment in providing the citizenry with efficient and reliable services that meet their standards, as well as addressing challenges related to the provision of passports in the country.
