The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) says it is committed to producing well trained graduates who will not only going to shine in the industry but also contribute to the 2063 national blueprint.
Dr. Kondwani Wella, a librarian at MUST, disclosed this on Tuesday during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Media training with Mibawa Studios.
The MOU will see MUST students who are doing media related studies being enrolled at Mibawa Studios on internship program to enhance their practical skills.
Mibawa Limited executive director John Nthakomwa, said his institution is committed to promoting media industry in the country and there are plans to come up with the institution’s own training school to impart media skills to the youth.
“Most of the graduates from our universities lack practical skills apart from theoretical knowledge so Mibawa is committed to addressing the gap and also complimenting efforts to align young people’s skills with the country’s 2063 vision,” said Nthakomwa.
