University of Malawi (UNIMA) and Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, have committed to working together in promoting ICT related studies at the institution.
Speaking after the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), UNIMA’s deputy vice chancellor Sunduzwayo Madise, said the one-year agreement will offer opportunities to students who are taking ICT related courses to enhance and show their practical skills.
Madise said they are optimistic that the agreement will help in curbing different challenges the university is facing like inadequate equipment, computer laboratories and internet access.
Huawei Managing Director Gomez Gu said the company is committed to providing increased knowledge to ICT students and build a better ICT Malawi.
