Nankhumwa wants Chakwera to address Malawians

President of the People’s Development Party (PDP), Kondwani Nankhumwa, has asked President Lazarus Chakwera to address the nation and provide solutions to the fuel crisis which has now entered the fifth week.

Nankhumwa made the call on Tuesday during a press briefing in Lilongwe as the fuel crisis has taken a turn for the worse with many citizens forced to sleep in filling stations while queuing for fuel.

He told YFM in an interview that Chakwera needs to wake up from slumber and face the issue head-on, which he described as the worst fuel crisis the country has ever faced.

Nankhumwa also added a voice to the calls by the Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) and other sectors demanding the resignation of Energy Minister, Ibrahim Matola for incompetence.
