Steadily built and brown in complexion, James Brown, outclassed nine other bodybuilders to win the 2024 Mr. Mangochi bodybuilding competition which was held at Nkopola Leisure Centre in the district.
The event was organized by Mangochi Fitness Club in conjunction with the hosting place. In an interview with YONECO FM Online, chairperson of Mangochi Fitness Club, Muhammad Ajussa hailed the contestants for tussling it out competitively.
“We had about 10 contestants and each of them competed well. This made the judges to have a tough decision in coming up with the winner. We are impressed with the competition, and we are thankful to individuals and companies who sponsored this event,” said Ajussa.
By being champion, Brown went away with K200,000, a trophy, a gold medal, 10 kg set of dumbbells, and a month free training at Emcee Gym. Mwai Milanzie, who came second in the competition received K150,000 plus silver medal. Policeman, Shadreck Mphambo finished third.
