The government, in collaboration with the Competition and Fair-Trading Commission (CFTC), has halted ETG Company from implementing its newly announced fertilizer prices.

Minister of Trade Sosten Gwengwe and Minister of Agriculture Sam Kawale issued the injunction after visiting the company’s premises in Lilongwe on Tuesday morning.

In its earlier communication, ETG had announced new fertilizer prices effective Tuesday, January 28, with Urea priced at K133,000, NPK at K138,000, CAN at K130,000, and D-Compound at K165,000.
