The Shire Highlands Poultry Farmers Cooperative has started training poultry farmers on how to start and improve their poultry farming practices.
Earlier this year, the cooperative had pledged to provide such training in response to concerns about low productivity in the southern region’s poultry sector.
Speaking to YFM, Jeffrey Mchawa, Chairperson of the Shire Highlands Poultry Farmers Cooperative, expressed his satisfaction with the strong interest poultry farmers have shown in attending the training.
He believes that these efforts will significantly improve poultry farming in the region and the country as a whole.
